i am so lost on configuring this, i just dont understand the directions... i dont know what port number to use or what, i dont know what host name to use or anything, usually i can figure out programs, someone please help i need a more indepth instructions and what each part means |

just to add is it better over HTTP or another prtocall i dont have a gprs modem or anything |

Hi Eric, I'm sorry that you're lost. But you're probably lost because NowSMS does not do what you are expecting it to do. The Now SMS/MMS Gateway is a software product. NowSMS is not a bulk SMS service provider, and it is not a replacement for an SMS service provider. You need an account with an SMS service provider, or a GSM modem, in order to send messages with NowSMS. The Now SMS/MMS Gateway is a middleware tool for SMS, which among other features, can be used to manage connections to one or more service providers; or to manage receiving SMS messages; or to perform message formatting for advanced message types such as WAP push, MMS, etc. NowSMS is not a bulk SMS service provider, and it is not a replacement for an SMS service provider. You need an account with an SMS service provider, or a GSM modem, in order to send messages with NowSMS. -bn |
