Hi! I have a Windows 2K Server with the Now SMS/MMS Gateway application. Is there any process of certification for the application when Microsoft releases new patches or service packs? Can any of these affect the application? Thanks, Ricardo |

Hi Ricardo, I've upgraded several of my Windows XP systems running NowSMS to SP2, and I am not aware of any problems. I also have another NowSMS server running Windows 2003 Server, and it was just updated last week or the week before to the latest security updates. I haven't noticed any problems with it either. The primary potential issue with XP Service Pack 2 is the Windows Firewall which prompts you before programs make external accesses. I haven't noticed any issues with NowSMS running as a service, but if you experience a problem connecting to your SMSC, try disabling the Windows Firewall. -bn |
