Hi,
I wanted to know if nowSMS roadmap includes vonstruction of MMS version 1.1. If so - what is the planned time for that?

Hi Jonathan,
It is in our plans for our next major release (as well as MMS 1.2 support), but at this time, we're not planning on implementing MMBox support unless there is more demand for that capability. (We will re-evaulate MMBox support, but unless it is going to be implemented by more clients, there's no real advantage to us implementing it on the server.)
So basically, the only real new functionality gained in the newer specs is a standardised format for read receipts, and the ability for a client to forward a message without downloading it first.
We have been planning to release a new major version before the end of this year, but that could slip until first quarter next year. |
