Hi!
Just want to know if there are any specific strings I can use through telnet to monitor the services in the Now SMS/MMS Gateway? I want to know when the service is down.

Hi Ricardo,

At this time, there is no way to remotely monitor NowSMS to determine if an external SMSC (or MMSC) connection from NowSMS is down. (Other than a program that monitors the Windows "Event Log".)

If you are just looking to monitor NowSMS itself and verify that it is up, you could verify that it is accepting connections to its HTTP ports. (You could place a file with an arbitrary name like test.txt in the MMSCDATA subdirectory, and verify that file can be retrieved via the MMSC HTTP Port. To test the SMS gateway, put a file in the HTML subdirectory, and it will be returned through the web interface port for the SMS gateway.)
