We've just uploaded the "beta 2" release of the Now SMS/MMS Gateway v5.0. It is now available at the following URL: http://www.nowsms.com/beta5 The new release fixes some problems in the "beta 1" release, as documented at the following URL: http://www.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/490.html This release also makes some changes in the configuration settings for sending or receiving MMS messages over a GPRS connection to an operator MMSC. Based upon feedback for the "beta 1" release, we determined that the process of configuring a GPRS connection was too complicated. With the "beta 2" release, it is no longer necessary to manually create a dial-up networking connection in the Windows Control Panel. And it is also no longer necessary to modify the modem driver configuration to include the GPRS APN (AT+CGDCONT command). The relevant settings can now be configured directly in the NowSMS configuration. Note that because of this change, you will need to reconfigure any MMSC connection parameters. | |||
