Hi.

I have a problem with the Siemens MC60. When I send a MMS with nowsms to the MC60(i.e. a jpg. and .txt file) it only shows the image. There is "NO TEXT". In the left top corner of the display is a little "T" shown with a Exclamation Mark. I think this means that the MC60 is a problem showing the txt-File.

I suggest it is a problem with the layout tag.

Here is an example of the smil. File:

<smil>
<head>
<layout>
<root-layout height="80" width="101"/>
<region id="Image" fit="meet" height="40" left="0" top="0" width="101"/>
<region id="Text" fit="meet" height="40" left="0" top="40" width="101"/>
</layout>
</head>
<body>
<par dur="05s">
<img src="t0-1.gif" region="Image" />
</par>
<par dur="10s">
<img src="t1-1.gif" region="Image" />
<text src="t1-2.txt" region="Text" />
</par>
<par dur="10s">
<img src="t2-1.gif" region="Image" />
<text src="t2-2.txt" region="Text" />
</par>
<par dur="10s">
<img src="t3-1.gif" region="Image" />
<text src="t3-2.txt" region="Text" />
</par>
<par dur="10s">
<img src="t4-1.gif" region="Image" />
<text src="t4-2.txt" region="Text" />
</par>
</body>
</smil>

This .smil File Layout Tag is a direct copy of a smil. File i send with the MC60 to an other device.

I also found out, that the MC60 names the smil-File "siemens.smil"

Can anybody help???

Michael,

Apologies for the severe delay in response.

What happens if you send an MMS message from the Siemens MC60 to itself?

Does the text display correctly?

Assuming that it does ... then let's do this.

You'll find a copy of the MMS file that was sent by the MC60 to itself under the MMSCDATA\yyyymmdd\hh directory. Save that file.

Send another MMS message to the MC60 where this problem is exhibited. Collect that file in the same way ... and then post as an attachment here in a ZIP file. Then I'll take a closer look at the file contents to analyse the differences.
