Razvan,

It depends on whether your MMS client is for an embedded device or for a PC.

If your MMS client is for an embedded device, then you should use MM1. This is the protocol that a phone uses to communicate with an operator MMSC.

So if you're writing an MMS client that is to work on a phone, or a device with phone capabilities, then MM1 is the proper route to go.

If you are writing an application for the PC, then MM7 is more realistic. Note that not all operators support MM7, and getting an MM7 account is usually not a very simple process ... but MM7 is a reasonable API for a client that is submitting bulk messages.
