Good morning,
For the last 2 weeks, I have been trying to retrieve MMS messages with my Wavecom Fastrack Supreme 20 GPRS modem. I am successfully able to send and receive SMS messages, but, unfortunately, I am unable to receive MMS messages.
I am currently using Rogers, in Canada, as a service provider. Similar to the situation described by David MacKay in the below-linked thread, I am having the same problems:

I have also attempted to use the Ozeki Message Server. Unfortunately, I experience the same issue---just 1 message arrives, and then no more. This leads me to believe, as mentioned in the thread, this is, indeed, a service provider issue.
As I am interested in purchasing NowSMS for my project, I would like to ask if there is there a known fix or patch for this issue.

Unfortunately I have not heard anything more about this particular issue.
I do have one idea, however. Try changing the WAP gateway IP address setting to:
http://172.25.0.107:8080
The above setting tells NowSMS to connect to the proxy in HTTP/WAP2 mode, and it is possible that this might trigger some different behaviour on the operator end.
And try spoofing the User-Agent and Profile headers as described in that other thread. |
