We're using NowSMS/MMS with a GPRS modem tethered in order to send MMS messages. We're using the EAIF interface to send messages to NowSMS which routes them through the modem to our carriers MMSC via MM1. If we add multiple recipients to a message as a BCC field, the resultant message on the phone still shows a list of all recipients. It is our understanding that EAIF is very similar to MM1 as the HTTP POST in the EAIF request is essentially the same as an MM1 send. This is fine, except that NowSMS/MMS appears to be pulling apart the message and repackaging it, replacing the BCC fields to TO fields before sending the message to the MMSC. Attached is the relevant snippet of MMSCDEBUG.log. We'd like to know whether we're sending the messages correctly, otherwise, whether there is a workaround for this. Thanks, Ben |

Hi Ben, Apologies for the delay. You are correct ... all recipients are getting sent out as "To:" recipients when messages are routed to an operator MMSC via MM1. We do not support CC/BCC recipients over that interface. However, I did bring this issue up in an engineering meeting, and this support has been added effective with the 2007.08.28 update. This can be downloaded at http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsmslatest.zip. -bn |
