I have an application which will be permanently connected via GPRS. Can I send and receive SMS (and possibly MMS) messages? - if so, can anyone give me some pointers? I do not want to drop out of data mode into command mode for this. I have not yet chosen a modem so I could consider one with a TCP/IP stack or one with Java.
I think it really can receive SMS/MMS via GPRS. It would not backward to command mode. Maybe you can use data mode to send/receive SMS and MMS. Even you can show MMS by your own browser.It is not hard.
