Does anyone have info on whether device info can be received by an MM7 application over the MM7 interface? | |||

Hi John, There is no way to query device capabilities via MM7. However, later versions of the MM7 specification (release 6.8.0 and later) did add an optional field that the MMSC can use to return the UAProf URL for the device. This field, <UACapabilities><UAProf>, is supported only MM7_deliver.REQ and MM7_delivery_report.REQ. But this is an optional field, and one that was added very late in the protocol development stages. So, I would be surprised if to find any MMSC that implements this in the real world.
