I using window xp to use the NowSms gateway v2009.
I using 'fargo maestro 100 as my GSM Modem and already added the modem to the gateway as teach in the user guide.
BUT,
I duno why it still show these errors in the gateway :
1. SMSC/MMSC Status : Error
2. COM1:: Modem Failure -- Unable to access modem, ensure that it is powered on and pass diagnostic tests.

I already install a phone modem for the COM1 and powered on, SIM card is enable to send and receive MMS. and sometime it enable to send mms through the NowMMS webhost and sumtime it will hang. Can anyone gimme some guide here? thx alooootsss.

Hi,

Do you have a Windows modem driver installed for the modem? A Windows modem driver is required for sending MMS ... so I am wondering if the modem failure is because the SMS part of NowSMS does not know that the MMS part is using the modem.

Instead of using "COM1" as the modem, configure NowSMS to use a named modem driver. Windows modem drivers are configured under the "Phone & Modem Options" area of the Windows Control Panel. If your modem manufacturer does not supply a modem driver, use the "Standard 33600bps Modem" driver.

If this does not resolve your problem, please enable the SMSDEBUG.LOG (checkbox option on "Serial #" page). Restart the NowSMS service, and post the content of the SMSDEBUG.LOG in reply.
