Hi, Yes, NowSMS can accept MM7 requests and deliver the messages (NowSMS could act as an MMSC for delivery, or it could route them for delivery through a modem, or through another MM7 connection with other protocol variations). Before you start your MM7 attempts, you're going to want to confirm that you have a working configuration for sending MMS messages. You verify this by sending MMS messages using the built-in NowSMS web interface. Once that is working ok, then move on to MM7. If you're planning to use NowSMS as an MMSC, the primary concern is that many mobile operators block MMS delivery from external MMSCs. The following link discusses how MMS works so that you can better understand this issue: http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm As far as configuring NowSMS to accept MM7 submissions from your application, the MM7 section of the following document will explain this: http://blog.nowsms.com/2009/02/sending-mms-messages-with-nowsms.html If you need to receive messages (or delivery reports) back via MM7, then you also need to configure an "MMSC Routing" definition in NowSMS with information on how NowSMS should initiate MM7 connections back to your application. For best results, use the same "account name" for both the "MMSC VASP" and "MMSC Routing" definitions. I don't have any good links with information on the second part of this configuration. It is similar to configuring a connection to a mobile operator with MM7 (http://blog.nowsms.com/2009/02/connecting-to-operator-mmsc-with-mm7.html), just set the "Connection type" to be "To VASP" instead of "To MMSC". -- Des NowSMS Support |
