HI there, hope I am in the right place

I have a new unlocked 6500 slide, I am on talkmobile (vodafone is the carrier) I cannot recieve mms instead I get a text message asking me to go to vodaphone.co.uk/getmyphoto.

This is the third new 6500 in a month
Third sim card, and second number

I have spoken to numerous advisors and had umpteen pictures sent to my phone that I did not recieve.I have put the sim in another handset and get the same result

The phone has been set up manually with talkmobile on another line

The phone can, send pictures to itself, but cannot recieve a picture from other networks, the settings on the phone are correct and they have been checked by carphone warehouse staff.

The talkmobile advisors firstly put the fault on the phone, then the sim, then the number, then the sim, then the phone, now they are putting the fault on the other carriers, ie, orange,o2,t-mobile etc.

To conclude the phone can do everything its expected to do except recieve pictures

Hope someone here can help

Kind regards

Mick

Hi,

Is this a support question regarding the NowSMS product?

If so, I'd suggest that you post some more details about your configuration in one of the "Product Support" areas of the forum. This section is an "unsupported" area for general MMS related discussions.

If this question is about NowSMS, I can say that it is possible to send both SMS and MMS from the same gateway.

However, the default configuration for NowSMS is to operate as a "Direct delivery MMSC", which will not work in most environments. If you are using a GSM/GPRS/3G modem, you need to configure an MM1 connection through an operator MMSC over the modem.

More details can be found at http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm and http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/mms_notifications_and_c ontent/Connecting_to_operator_MMSC.htm
