I entred a number in the Forced Sender Address box, but I still receive the number of the sim card in the gsm modem. Any help will be appreciated. I use a 3G PC Card modem. |

I think that PDU protocol not allow to overwrite the phone number of the sender. Then you can not do that |

Darien's answer is correct. This part of the forum is not intended for NowSMS product support. But since the "Forced Sender Address" field is one of items in the NowSMS configuration, I assume you are asking about NowSMS. Basically, if you are sending messages via a GSM modem, it is not possible to override the sender address. The message gets sent through your mobile operator, and the mobile operator will always apply the phone number associated with the SIM card of your modem to the outbound message. It is only possible to override sender addresses when you are sending SMS messages via a service provider. (And even then, you are subject to whatever restrictions your provider places on allowed values.) -- Des NowSMS Support |
