Hi,
I from Malaysia. I had tried the Now SMS/MMS gateway to send a MMS message and the URL that i send out is from Now sms's help page. which is http://127.0.0.1:8801/?PhoneNumber=0162508905&MMSFrom=TanWoonHow&MMSSubject=Test ing&MMSText=An+optional+text+part+of+the+message&MMSFile=http://support.nowsms.com/discus/m edia/logo.gif

but when i received the notification and tried to download unfortunately it prompt me "Communication error".

Another thing i had test is send a MMS message from my T610 hp and it able to send and received.

Is that anything need to set in order to receive the content?

Can anyone help on this? URGENT!!!

I am very interested in your HTTP-GET Request, it seems so simplified compared to HTTP-POST when addressing the MM7 interface. I have attempted without much success to make a similar HTTP-GET request as you have demonstrated above.

Please shed some more light.

What do you have configured for the "Local Host Name or IP Address" on the "MMSC" page of the configuration dialog?

Please see the following thread for an explanation of how MMS works:

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/1958.html

In your URL example, NowSMS is creating an MMS message file on your local NowSMS installation, and it is then sending out an MMS notification to the mobile phone telling it to download the MMS message via a dynamically generated URL on the NowSMS installation. So it is necessary that your NowSMS PC be accessible via the internet in order for this to work. (See the above referenced thread for more information.)

It is also possible that your mobile operator has an MMS configuration that denies access from external MMSCs. To determine if this is the case, use NowSMS to send an MMS Notification (instead of a complete MMS message), and specify the URL for the MMS as http://www.nowsms.com/download/btmms.mms. This will tell send a notification to your phone that tells it to download an MMS file from our web site. If that also reports a communication error, then either the MMS settings on the phone have not been configured, or your operator has a configuration that blocks messages from external MMSCs ... in which case your only option is to submit messages through the operator MMSC ... which is also described in the above referenced thread.

Hi Bryce Norwood
Thanks for your reply,

I have confirm that my hp setting is correct and i've tested with the advice that you mention earlier to sent out the MMS notification with the URL that you provided and still prompt me "Communivation error". So i've configure the now sms gateway to send the mms message to the operator mmsc but it prompt me "Unable to connect wap gateway".

I have attached a picture of my configuration.

Thanks for your help. Hope can hear you soon.

Hi Woon How,

NowSMS v5.0 doesn't like leading 0's in an IP address for a WAP gateway.

There is a patch available that fixes this problem (details at http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/53/1948.html). But the immediate solution is to change the IP address of the WAP gateway to 203.92.128.160, and remove that leading 0 in the second part of the address.
