There are two ways. 1) Using your own mobile network. 2) Using internet. For no. (1)your mobile must have either USB connection or Bluetooth. Apart from that you must have software to be installed to your PC or note book computer. Once connected you may type your sms from your PC or note book computer and send the sms to the mobile no. you wish to send. For (2), you need internet connection. HI I am Raju Patel from Baroda, Gujarat, India. Can u help how I can send sms from PC to selected Mobile automatically while my PC gives some high alert signals. For your information my pc is connected one PLC system and the said PLC send some high alert signals to my PC. Those signals I want to send by sms to mobile. plz tell me how is it possible. | |||

Ok, so every one has the same problem. SMS -> PC -> SMS Well the easy way out is to go and get a GSM modem. Connect it to u'r PC. Put u'r SIM in GSM Modem and use nowsms. If don't wana use NowSMS than u have to write u'r own code to connect to COM port to Modem and send/receive u'r messages from u'r GSM modem using AT commands. If you have no clue that what i am sayin' than plz just google it. The other and expensive way is to buy a SMPP bind to a SMSC. Implement SMPP or buy SDK for it and connect to SMSC and start sending/receving messages through it. Don't wana use SMPP, no problem. Now a days SMSCs also have diff interfaces i.e. Email, XML, HTTP GET/POST, Web Services etc. So Good luck all. Nauman Pak | |||

I am not technically inclined so please bare with me. I would like to know if anyone knows how much it would cost to setup my own sms (smpp) gateway in North America. Is there a cost effective way to set one up to send messages instead of using and paying a service like that of a clickatell? thanks | |||

Hi i m Giridhara.B.A From Bangalore i m a s/w engineer,i done so many prjs on sending SMS to Mobile from PC. First U need one GSM modem, and connect this GSM modem to ur PC through serial Ports(COM ports) once it is connected to PC to test go to hyperterminal in the accessories and check for the ports . and using some AT & T commands u can send SMS to mobiles AT+CSMS=1 AT+CPMS?
