Could anyone please help advise my problem here: I use a Maestro 100 modem, passed the SMSC test, but got the following error - 00:55:04:718 [2] ThreadProcessModem: OUT: 00010008817928019200000370381C 00:55:05:718 [2] ThreadProcessModem: ERROR - Modem Response (2): ERROR 00:55:05:718 [2] ThreadProcessModem: Error: ERROR - Modem Response (2): ERROR 00:55:15:093 [2] ThreadProcessModem: Processing 42358FF8.req... 00:55:15:093 [2] ThreadProcessModem: OUT: AT+CMGS=18 00:55:15:156 [2] ThreadProcessModem: IN: Hope it's not the modem that has failed to work. Thanks. |

Unfortunately, when we attempt to send the message, the modem is returning a text response that simply says "ERROR". With most modems, they would return an error code number that might provide a clue as to what the problem is. But, in this case, we are simply receiving the text "ERROR". I would suggest putting the SIM card into a phone, and verifying that you can actually send an SMS from a phone using that SIM card. (In case the SIM card has not been properly enabled for service.) There was a similar issue in another old thread that might give some ideas of things to try: http://www.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/4962.html |
