Hi Pete,
The only solution that I have been able to find is to configure the SIM that you are using in the modem to divert all calls to another phone number.
Usually, in order to do this, you need to put the SIM into a phone, and go through the menus on the phone to tell it to divert all calls.

does this affect the performance of the modem if its receiving sms or sending sms while someone is trying to call? |

Not if the call is diverted, because that happens at the network level ... the call never gets routed to the phone/modem. |
