Hi, i used the software a few years ago and now i need it again so i installed the NowSMS 60 days demo to see if everything works out for me to send some advertising sms to my list, i added 2 modems, a motorola mobile phone and a globetrotter pcmcia modem, when i tried to send my first sms i got the blue screen of death. i restarted the computer with the modem connected, and got the bsod as soon as the computer loaded now sms, i removed the modem, restarted and i got no bsod at all. is this a driver issue ? i used the product official drivers everything should work normally.

Hi Paulo,

Yes, it's definitely a driver problem of some sort, or possibly a conflict between the two devices or their drivers.

I'd suspect that you'd see similar problems if you tried to query the modem under the diagnostics area of "Phone and Modem" in the Windows Control Panel. (Although it is possible that the problem might only be triggered if you were trying to talk to both modems simultaneously which is what NowSMS would be doing.)

I wish I had some suggestions, but I can't recall any problems like this.

I'm not aware of any modems that take multiple SIMs.

Generally, it's one SIM per modem.

(I have seen some boxes that provide a rack of modems that are sold as a single unit, but they generally have proprietary interfaces, not a standard GSM modem interface.)

I saw on a probably indian website, people selling those kind of multiple modems with one simcard each, but the investment is arround 270€ per modem with at least 4 to 8 simcards and the sending speed is not that good.
I can use old cellphones that i have, and probably buy more cellphones and connect them using usb cables and send even faster from a cheaper price. the only cost is probably the battery that will eventually die from such a big work for so many hours.

USB cables generally provide a charge/power source for the device, so that helps the battery issue.

The problem that you can run into using old phones is that received messages can sometimes overload the phone. Make sure it is a phone that NowSMS can receive messages on, because that way NowSMS can be removing any received messages from the phone ... otherwise if phone storage fills up with received messages, many phones lose the ability to send any more messages.

The battery drain is not what i was refering to, my english is a bit bad, what i mean is that the battery loses "power" with big usage over a few weeks. it's lifespan downgrades or something.
some old phones are slow, but for example, my old motorola V3X is fast. some sonyericsson are really fast too. simple old high-end phones tend to be fast sending sms, i dont know how to locate this information on their specs.
