Hi

I try to Add new SMSC conecction and choice SMPP Over tcp/ip for connect to Clicktell.com Gateways

this is my config that clicktell.com give it to me

SMPP Authentication Details
Use these details to bind to SMPP.
system_type: 328364
system_id: firstvoip
password: (As per Account Details)
server: smpp.clickatell.com
port: 2345 - 2347

i add all of that detail but when i push ok i get this errore message " Unable to Connect to SMPP server at smpp.clickatell.com:2345

can anyone try to use clickatell services ?

Hi Mehdi,

If you are getting an "Unable to connect to SMPP" server, this means that a connection could not be established at the IP level. Basically, it didn't get as far as trying any authentication parameters.

They probably need to open up their firewall to allow your IP address to connect.

Did you supply them with your IP address? Is that the IP address that you are connecting from externally (if you're going through a firewall, the IP address you need to configure may be an address associated with the firewall).
