I have been trying to send examples given here in numerous threads of EMS to my Nok 3300 and Panasonic GD88 and I always get an empty message. Anyway I would like to try a simple text EMS message that fits to 1 message with UDH, Data and DCS. Appreciate your help. |

Well, I'm pretty sure that the Nokia 3300 does not support EMS.
Nokia only supports Nokia Smart Messaging in their phones, which is a completely different format.
Also, I don't see EMS as being supported by the Panasonic GD87 or GD88. The Panasonic web site does not mention any support for EMS for either of these models. With Panasonic, for any pictures or ring tones, I believe they have to be delivered via WAP ... either navigate the WAP browser to a URL, or send a WAP push with the URL. (Or you can also use MMS.)
EMS was originally developed by (Sony)Ericsson, Motorola, Siemens and Alcatel. A few other vendors have also added support for EMS, but support for EMS is far from universal in modern handsets.
