Hi, I am getting the above error when I try to send a PDU SMS message via a siemens TC35 terminal, however when I try to send a message with the same sim via my mobile it works fine. Any ideas what I might be missing? |

CMS Error code 28 means "Unidentified subscriber: This cause indicates that the subscriber is not registered in the PLMN (i.e. IMSI not known)." That is a very odd response code to get returned. My only guess would be the SIM card is not inserted properly (what happens if you don't have a SIM card inserted ... I've never tried it with a TC35). Basically, it sounds like the SMSC does not know who you are. But I can't think of what else would cause this. -bn |

I think the sim is inserted ok, without it the cmgs message fails. It is confusing me because all the +CREG messages say that I am registered. |

Assuming you are trying to do this with your own code ... can you send a message using text mode instead, or does it also report an error? If the problem only shows up in PDU mode, I wonder if there is a problem with the SMSC parameter in the PDU? |
