Hi there, I have nowsms running on an XP machine.
I have set up the program to work as I wish BUT it seem that after I have launched Nowsms and used the program and then stopped using it.... as in not sending any text messages, If I watch my multitech GPRS modem, it is still sending and receiving bogus text messages. If I look at the LOG, it only shows the text messages I sent. When I received my first cell/GPRS phone bill, it showed over 5000 texts sent and recieved. To the same number... the GPRS number?? Has anyone run across this problem of a rogue modem?? |

Hi,
You watch your modem, and you see it sending and receiving bogus text messages? How exactly do you SEE this?
Are you talking about the send/recieve lights flashing on the modem? That's all I can think of.
These lights is not an indication of an SMS message being sent or received ... this is interaction between the PC and the modem. It is an indication that modem is sending or receiving data from the computer ... not an indication of any data being sent or received over the air.
NowSMS is polling the modem for received messages, and that would be the activity that you are seeing on the modem lights.
There must be some other explanation for the messages.

hi chris,have u test out how many sms has been sent out per minute?i have use it,it output 1 sms/min.may i know how to increase the speed?i am using wavecom modem. |
