I am in Toronto Canada, testing Now SMS to send Unicode SMS to cell phone.
Using web interface, firstly I go to "Send Binary Message", then select "Other", then on next page, provide these info:

Phone Number: <phone number>
Message Type: Other
User Data Heard: <nothing>
Binary Data: 007E005E007B007D005B005D007C005C
PID: 0
DCS: 8

then the message can be displayed well on phones with carrier "Rogers", but not on a samsung phone with "Bell". But if I change data field to following, remove the first byte 00 in unicode,

Binary Data: 7E5E7B7D5B5D7C5C

then it works fine with Bell phone but not Rogers phone. I understand that byte 00 should be provided.

My question is, is this a problem with Bell? Is there anyway in Now SMS that I can send UCS2 message to both carrier without problem.

BTW, to my understanding, UCS2 is in text mode, why it's in binary mode?

Thank you in advance
Jeffrey
