This error code indicates that the Windows modem driver is failing to initialise. Go into the Phone & Modem options area of the Windows control panel. In the "Modems" area, there is a "Diagnostics" area that includes a "Query Modem" button. Make sure that "Query Modem" is working properly. If that succeeds ok, then you should then be ok with NowSMS. I'm assuming that "Query Modem" will return an error, so depending on that error, you'd need to troubleshoot from there. It may be an issue that the modem driver is not associated with the correct COM port. It may be worth removing the modem driver, and re-adding it. |

That is very odd. Normally if NowSMS returns this error, the Diagnostics in the Windows Control Panel will return a similiar error. (The "NOT SUPPORTED" entries in the Windows diagnostics are not a problem.) For SMS only functionality (no MMS), you can add add the modem to NowSMS using a direct COM port reference instead of going through the Windows modem driver. Does that work? -malcolm |
