If your questions are about EMS or SMS, please post in one of the "Now SMS" sections of this discussion board. Your message was posted in the section is for the Now IMP (Instant Messaging and Presence) product, but I'm going to try to move it to a more appropriate section.
The short answer to your question is that I don't believe it is possible. There is an "extended object" encoding that can be used for larger objects. However, UPI was defined in earlier versions of the specs, whereas "extended object" came about later (I think UPI was in R4.2, and extened object came about in R5). As is typical with these types of things, most products stick with features from the earlier versions of the specs only. Limited guidance on "extended object" at the following link:
