I have a Microsoft Smartphone (Orange E100) connected through USB. I've installed the correct modem drivers, and the smartphone is showing up in NowSMS. However, afer the initial test, NowSMS responds that SMS is not supported by the phone... Are there other smartphone users with the same problem? Should I buy a new phone, and if yes, which model has the best support in NowSMS? |

Hi Wim, Generally speaking, MS Smartphones aren't smart enough to support the AT command interface for SMS. (See http://www.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/11620.html for a response I posted to a similar question.) It's hard to recommend any particular device, but here's a thread with a lot of discussion on different phones being used as modems (in particular, I just realised that this thread was missing some good info I had posted elsewhere, so I just updated it today): http://www.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/4218.html |
