does anyone know how to send arabic text useing the SMS gateway | |||

From the web interface of the gateway, you should be able to enter Arabic text directly. Try that first, as it should work without a problem. If you have a problem, then reply back explaining the type of SMSC connection that you are using, and we can troubleshoot the problem further. As for submitting messages to the gateway from your own application, using HTTP direct, by default we expect the message text parameter to be encoded in the UTF-8 character set. If you want to use Arabic text directly, add a parameter of "&charset=iso-8859-6" to the URL. This will tell us that you are using the Arabic character set instead of the expected UTF-8. (The web form in our web interface uses UTF-8.) | |||
