I am using a Eagletec GSM/GPRS modem, details located at http://www.eagletec.net/login/pop.asp?id=625 .The box shows that it supports AT commands. Now what is the difference between AT commands and extended AT commands.

I can send and recieve SMS with their software and other SMS software, but cannot add the modem with NowSMS. It gives me an error of "Modem does not support SMS", again i am sure that this modem can send and recieve SMS. pls help me to slove this issue.
