Hello, I am looking for a way so where I only have the cost of my employees, server, and this application in running my company. I want to setup a server to where I can directly be in contact with the SMSC server myself and do not have to go through a 3rd party company and have to pay them, can someone please explain to me how I can set this up?

P.S. I do not want to use a GSM Modem, I was wanting to use the IP SMS connection method :-)

Hi, I'm sorry, SMS just doesn't work that way. SMS is a big source of revenue for the mobile operators (carriers). And they go to great lengths to make sure that they make money with SMS. -- Des NowSMS Support

Hi Jeremiah, It's a bit difficult to know where to start. For a lot of scenarios, GSM modems are a good place to start, because they don't require you to deal with an SMS service provider. SMS service providers tend to make sense when you have higher levels of volume. We've got some basic getting started information here: http://www.nowsms.com/support/faq.htm And some quick start info on NowSMS configuration here: http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/quickstartguide/ -- Des NowSMS Support |
