I would like to clarify the on the number of sms your gateway can receive and send. I've read in the forum, that the range is between 6-10 sms per minute for sending, depending on the service provider. does this also apply for receiving? is there a limit on how fast i can receive sms? i would like to know how often does the gateway check for received messages or is it constenly in receive mode? Another question is, can nowsms work with multiple gsm modem connected to the com port? i plan to install 4 gsm modem into my system. will nowsms be able to support this? would my overall throughput for sms increase if i did this? Anyone's reply will be much appreciated | |||

1. The SMS throughput over GSM Modem is 6-10 over normal connection. If your provider give option to send SMS over GPRS, then this could be more. The throughput applies to the SUM total for receiving an sending in case of GSM Modem. 2. Yes you can connect multiple GSM modems to NowSMS, the only limitation is the number of COM ports on the server. You can configure each of these as seperate SMSC connections and route SMS messages simultaneously to all. Then the thoroughput would depend on your license and the total number of modems attached. I also remember that Bryce in one post said that the max number tested was 10. | |||
